Grimshaw’s Ty Wiebe may have sewn up the NPHL scoring race Friday night.
Wiebe scored twice and added two assists in Grimshaw’s 6-3 win over Manning to help the club clinch second place in the East Division.
Wiebe now has 56 points. He leads Falher’s Dallas Brochu by five points and teammate Pat Rowan by six. Falher is at Dawson Creek Saturday to end the season.
DC has the best record in the NPHL. The game features a battle for the Lawrence Cup so both clubs have incentive to play well. DC leads Falher by one point. Falher must win the game in regulation time to win the Cup because DC holds the tiebreaker.
