The Falher Pirates released an avalanche of goals to win their East Division Semi-Final series opener against the High Prairie Regals Tuesday night.
FAL whipped HP 16-4 on the strength of four goals from Pat Rowan and a third period natural hat trick from Jeff Chalifoux.

Trevor Mazurek added a pair while Kevin Monfette, Matts Maisonneuve, Neil Maisonneuve, Dallas Brochu, Dan Aubin, Marco St.-Pierre, Dakota Mason each added one goal.
Seven Pirates recorded three assists including Darren Kramer, Dallas Brochu, Brian Sommers, Mazurek, Monfette, Rollie Gladue and Darren Brochu.
FAL led 3-0 after one period and 8-3 after two before adding eight third period goals.
Jacob Anderson scored a pair of power play goals for HP while Nelson Anderson added a PPG and Hector Lamouche a shorthanded goal. All HP goals were scored on special teams.
FAL was no slouch themselves scoring four PPGs on five chances with Chalifoux netting a pair and Monfette and St.-Pierre scoring the others. Rowan added a SHG for food measure.
Game 2 of the series is back in HP Thursday night.
